NRL SC Round 3 Trade Analysis

Hi everybody, Seahorse here! Welcome back to my trade article for Rd 3! Going to go shorter and more to the point this week. There are lot of options in each positions but I'll go with the ones I think are best.

-----------------------------------------------

Rd 3 Gun (500K +)Trade Outs

N.Brown - Time to sell if you held him for a week to get another look at options.

A.Crichton - Must sell if not a late swap into the starting team.

P.Gallen - Not sure many people took a flyer on him but if you did, correct your mistake and trade Gal out!

G.Widdop - Dragons spine is a mess and Widdop isn’t competing with other guns in his positions.

J.Papalii - The Minutes just are not there with 4 forwards on the bench.

J.Taumalolo - Out for 6-10 weeks, must sell.

J.Tapine - Injured and set to miss a few weeks, so trade away.

J.Hodgson - Just not cutting it. Trade up to Cook or possibly sideways to Farah.

L.Mitchell – Shouldn’t have been in teams to start with at his price, but for people who selected him, time to trade before he loses a heaps of $.

Rd 3 Gun Trade Ins & Holds

R.Farah - Easy swap for J.Hodgson.

C.Munster – Don’t rush to buy him but a happy hold for owners.

R.Tuivasa-Sheck - Warriors draw is easy and he’s the main man for the Warriors.

S.Lane - A solid pickup for owners. Has some tougher opposition coming up but is still looking like a borderline keeper.

E.Marsters - Tigers have a soft draw and Marsters is mr reliable.

A.Fifita - Good swap through duals for Taumalolo if not an owner already.

R.Matterson – Don’t rush to buy him but a happy hold for owners.

S.Burgess - Has a soft draw and is in form. Verses Titans, Manly, Warriors, Bulldogs in the next 4 rounds.

N.Cleary - Bounced back to solid form after Rd 1. Confident hold.

S.Johnson - The points will come as he gels more with his new team.

J.Arrow - Will be a must have if he can keep his minutes and effort close to what was Shown last week.

J.Trbojevic – Don’t rush to buy him but a happy hold for owners.

C.Smith – With more pressing issues, Smith isn’t a trade out, but he’s not someone you want to be bringing in.

L.Fitzgibbon - Everyone who has him wasn’t expecting a base stat beast. Follow through with your plan of cashing in on his tries when they come.

A.Milford – Hold. He has a respectable average and hasn’t even struck a blow yet.

J.Tedesco - The POD move would be to sell him and use the cash to strengthen the rest of your squad, but it’s probably smarter just to hold him for the year.

M.Taupau - Will be interesting to see the impact Fonua-Blake has in his minutes this week.

D.Cherry-Evans - Bounced back to form and proved me wrong by scoring well even in a team which was outclassed.

Rd 3 Gun Avoids

W.Hopoate - Shuffled back to centre from Fullback, so an absolute no go.

Rd 3 Gun Wait and Sees

D.Klemmer - With a moderate breakeven its worth waiting and watching to see if the offloads are there in the coming round.

-----------------------------------------------

Rd 3 Mid Pricer (300-500K) Trade Outs

K.Holland - Will lose goal kicking whenever R.Martin is on the field.

V.Radley – Don’t’ wait for him to come good, because he won’t. He’s just not SC relevant.

B.Morris - Injured and out for a few weeks.

T.Glasby - Playing low minutes and also now got a HIA affected score. Sell and don’t look back.

Rd 3 Mid Pricer Trade Ins & Holds

J.Friend - Back from injury so hopefully back to 80 mins for owners.

L.Keary - Can be used as a quick cash grab with hopefully a big score Vs Eels this week.

J.Tamou - Minutes in the first 2 rounds may have been inflated by the loss of V.Kikau and various injuries and HIAs during their games, but he’s putting up decent base points for his price.

D.Finucane - Probably not a keeper but could be a stepping stone to one is he can maintain the decent minutes he’s getting.

K.Maumalo - Negative breakeven and Warriors have a good month ahead of them.

M.Morgan - Hold and see how Cowboys adjust to no Taumalolo and their other team changes.

J.Bateman - Being on an edge is not ideal for him compared to playing lock, but its only temporary and he will be a top 5 CTW.

M.Moylan - Hold for owners, but probably not a buy with a minor knee injury hanging around.

C.Murray - Hold for owners but probably not a buy until there is a increase in his minutes.

K.Capewell - A hold for owners. Last week’s score was reduced by a stint on the wing to cover the injured Feki. Still very underpriced and a great safe option for your CTW.

J.Bird - Putting up solid numbers, and if you need to bolster your CTW but are strapped for cash he.s a good cut priced option.

A.Reynolds - Souths have a great draw, so if looking for a POD half he could go very large over the next 4 rounds.

Rd 3 Mid Pricers Avoids

M.Gillett - His minutes dropped in Rd 2 and are nowhere near where they should be to make him a buy.

J.Bromwich - Continued to offload in Rd 2 but his Minutes took a hit.

R.Mahoney - Not playing 80 mins and the attacking stats won’t come every week.

J.Ofahengaue – Hasn’t progressed into the big minute alpha prop people were hoping for, so has lost his appeal and value.

A.Tolman - Pay isn’t giving him anywhere near the minutes he deserves in that team and its hurting the Bulldogs and his scores.

C.Gutherson - Lack of goal kicking and some harder opponents on the horizon don’t look good for Gutho’s prospects.

T.Pangai - The hamstring issues are still there and the minutes are not.

P.Vaughan – Isn’t getting enough benefit from all the forwards going down or getting suspended to be an option.

Rd 3 Mid Pricers Wait and Sees

C.Harawira-Naera – After scoring at around 1 PPM off the bench in the first two rounds, CHN has moved a starting 2RF in the Bulldogs reshuffle. Just keep an eye on him because he is a dual 2RF/CTW.

A.Twal - Minutes are up and down, so give him another week to try and nail down the rotation.
