Hi everybody, Seahorse here! This is the first edition of my weekly trades article which will come each Wednesday. I hope it helps your teams and please leave any requests for extra or different stuff you would like to see included.

Trade Outs
Whilst it’s always wise not to trade guns after 1 bad week, I don’t see it as a hard and fast rule not to, especially in the first 3 rounds. Trading out a gun you’re not happy with to a gun or mid ranger who has slipped your team building process to me is acceptable. For example, this week I plan to trade M. Taupau and P. Momirovski for S. Lane and J. Bateman. I am doing this to better balance my team, and they were also two players I was unsure about and would like to fix my mistake of leaving them out before it hurts my rank! Guns can also be traded out if injured, obviously N. Brown being the popular example this week. If you have any mid ranger who has played less minutes than you wanted, scored poorly or got injured, don’t hesitate to trade them before the price changes happen. Cheapies can obviously be traded to others that will make more money or score you better points as a reserve or CTW but its also smart to wait until rd 3 when they are on the bubble.

Rd 2 Gun (500K +)Trade Outs
N. Brown - Out for half the season, so cut him loose.
A. Crichton - People who took the risk of starting Crichton have to abort mission if remains on the bench this week. You just can’t give other teams a head start and hope to catch them.
P. Gallen – I’ve seen a few people considering him, but is seems the new coach is giving him minutes appropriate for his age and yes he’s still taking settlers in the backline haha.
D. Cherry-Evans - A poor showing from DCE, combined with playing in a bottom two team missing their best player, makes its impossible to own him with confidence
G. Widdop - Dragons have a decent run starting at rd 5 so you can keep him and ride the price drop, or move him on and hope to turn an A. Keighran or D. Brown into him down the track.
J. Papalii - The minutes just are not there for him this year playing only 47 Rd 1.
Rd 2 Gun Trade Ins
C. Munster - Looked dangerous and was the dominant play maker and kicker in the Storm team.
R. Tuivasa-Sheck - Was very dominant for the Warriors and is taking more responsibility without S. Johnson in the lineup.
S. Lane - Looks set for 80 minutes each game with 3 middle forwards and a utility on the bench again this round. 45 in base points is promising, and he has obvious attacking upside.
E. Marsters – Hasn’t put the offload away, goal kicking again, Tigers soft draw. What’s not to like!
A. Fifita - Played 72 mins in a full strength lineup. An absolute must have with Sharks soft draw.
J. Taumalolo - A definite option for any team, just don’t expect line breaks and try assists every week.
R. Matterson - 80 mins on the right edge for the tigers, 61 points in base and showcased his abilities by picking up a forced dropout. He should achieve a 65 average without breaking a sweat this season.
Rd 2 Gun Holds
N. Cleary - Not the home run everyone was hoping for at HFB. Panthers are looking a weaker team this year but worth giving him another rd.
S. Johnson - Titans, Cowboys, Eels the next 3 rounds. Hopefully he can play himself into form.
J. Arrow - Only played 55 mins in dd 1 but if that is the minimum for games this year he will be a season long keeper
J. Trbojevic - 80 min lock forward. Say no more.
C. Smith - Looked good in attack and had solid base. Storm looked their usual self with no signs of dropping off anytime soon.
J. Hodgson - A try assist in his score of 47 isn’t the greatest but will always have lower games.
L. Fitzgibbon - Almost had a try, and if you picked him you were already aware of his poor base output.
J. Tapine - A very disappointing score in rd 1, but the Raiders looked good and the weather wasn’t suited to his wide running and offloading style.
A. Milford - A clunky start for the Broncos, but hopefully they start to click soon for owners.
J. Tedesco - Season long hold. My no.1 option for captain choice this round.
M. Taupau - Mins were low and didn’t offload. Playing in a weak pack is an advantage, but if the mins and offloads don’t come, he’s way overpriced
Rd 2 Gun Avoids
W. Hopoate - Always scores well but the Bulldogs and Dean pay just can’t be trusted to give him attacking opportunities or keep him at FLB.
D. Klemmer - His rd 1 score and mins were eye catching but they were inflated by the injury to D. Saifiti, and he’s not really a top tier option.
Rd 2 Gun Wait and Sees
S. Burgess - An obvious hold for owners but for anyone looking to buy, I’d hold off a week for a look at his mins with South swapping C. Allan off the bench in favour of another forward.
-----------------------------------------------
Rd 2 Mid Pricer (300-500K) Trade Outs
K. Holland - Looked terrible in defence, Bulldogs were terrible in attack and goal kicking in a team that will score 10 tries all season
V. Radley - Good NRL player, bad SC player.
J .Mansour - Terrible rd 1 score, Panthers looking out of sorts and base stats way down.
Rd 2 Mid Pricer Trade Ins
J. Friend - Played 80 mins rd 1 and looks set to continue with an identical bench.
M. Morgan - Dominant playmaker is an improved Cowboys team and back to full fitness. Underpriced by 15 points minimum.
J. Bateman - Will be a top 3 CTW come the end of the season.
K. Capewell - A safe 40 points minimum in CTW every week is great value at his price.
M. Moylan - Looked slick at FLB and with Sharks decent draw, Moylan will bust out some big scores. His historically poor base output is helped by playing at FLB also.
Rd 2 Mid Pricer Holds
B. Morris - Will go on a try scoring run at some point, most likely starting against Manly this rd.
Rd 2 Mid Pricers Avoids
M. Moses - Eels vs Bulldogs so he may look tempting but Eels vs Roosters then Sharks rd 3/4.
T. Glasby - Only played 43 minutes so there is no scope for points or value.
R. Mahoney – Didn’t play 80 minutes so his value is minimal.
J. Ofahengaue - Saved by some junk points late in the game. Didn’t get the jump in mins everyone was hoping for.
Rd 2 Mid Pricers Wait and Sees
J. Bromwich - Played good minutes compared to the last 2 seasons but will need to show consistency in minutes and offloading to be an option.
C. Murray - Souths are playing a 4 forward bench this week, so monitor the minutes this rd.
A. Reynolds - Always an injury risk but goal kicking and playing in a top team with a good draw.
C. Sironen - Scored well rd 1. Minutes need to be 80 and he has to be offloading to be a good purchase.
P. Vaughan - Dragons pack is down on troops but its yet to be seen how much this will benefit him minutes and role wise.
A. Tolman - Never an exciting option, but is outscoring his price and is a reliable option.
M. Gillett - New role in the middle looks like giving his base output a huge bump. A definite option as long as he looks confident with his neck again this week.
A. Twal – Didn’t keep his PPM as high as people would like. There is room for improvement though.
