Key Player

Ash Taylor – Having been around for a while now, Taylor will need to take charge of this team if the Titans want to make the top eight this season.

One to Watch

Tyrone Peachey – The versatile Peachey is a livewire and a real x-factor player.

Rising Star

AJ Brimson – Debuting last season at five-eighth, Brimson eventually moved to fullback and was superb there. He is dynamic in attack and very good in defence.

Predicted Top Try Scorer

Anthony Don (13)

Goal Kickers

1. Michael Gordon, 2. Ash Taylor, 3. Tyrone Roberts.

SuperCoach

The Guns

Jai Arrow ($598,000 | 2RF) – When Arrow played 55+ minutes last season, he averaged 62.0 PPG in base stats alone and 17.8 PPG in evasive stats. Coming in a lot cheaper than Jake Trbojevic and Jason Taumalolo, he could match them for points this season if he stays fit.

The PODs

AJ Brimson ($462,000 | FLB/5/8) – Despite excelling at fullback to end last season, Brennan has confirmed that Brimson will start the year in the halves with Ash Taylor. Brimson grew into this position last season, averaging 62.8 PPG over his last four games wearing the #6.

Ash Taylor ($419,000 | HFB) – Taylor is the ultimate risk vs reward player. He is inconsistent, but can easily score big. Playing next to somebody like Brimson in the halves, Taylor will have full creative control of the team. The Brimson/Taylor combination immediately clicked last season, with Taylor averaged 59.2 PPG in his first five games with Brimson. If they can build on this in 2019, Taylor could be set for a career best year.

The Cheapies

Tyrone Roberts ($298,100 | 5/8) – Roberts has never been SuperCoach relevant, but if he starts at #6 come round one, he could earn some nice cash if he gets amongst the points early. Ash Taylor has said that his preference is to have Roberts partner him in the halves, so this is one to keep and eye on.

Avoid

Bryce Cartwright ($231,300 | 2RF/5/8) – Cartwright is supposedly fitter and in a better frame of heading into the 2019 season, but that doesn’t mean anything until he starts piling on the SuperCoach points. The ‘Carty Party’ is dead.

Ryan James ($585,800 | FRF/2RF) – If you take out James’ three scores between 95-140 from rounds 14-16, his average drops from 63 to 55. He has a solid base and plays big minutes, but a move from prop to left edge this season should see his base decline.
