Biggest Fixtures

Round 3 vs Rabbitohs (H), Round 11 vs Storm (H), Round 21 vs Tigers (H)

Key player

Kieran Foran – The Bulldogs looked lost in attack in 2018, and will need a fully fit Foran to guide them around the park in 2019.

One to Watch

Rhyse Martin – Martin has the attacking skills of a back, and gets through plenty of work in the forwards. He’s also an absolute gun goal kicker.

Rising Star

Nick Meaney – The new signing from the Knights is a very solid ballplayer and a smart fullback.

Predicted Top Try Scorer

Reimis Smith (12)

Goal kickers

1. Rhyse Martin, 2. Kerrod Holland, 3. Kieran Foran

SuperCoach

The Guns

Rhyse Martin ($634,300 | 2RF) – As an 80 minute edge back rower last season, all the talk was that Martin would one day be a SuperCoach legend. This season, it's hard to see Martin playing on an edge, but he will most likely play lock. Such a move reduces Martin's attacking potential, and don't expect him to play 80 minutes at #13. However, with an increased work load in the middle, even if he plays around 60 minutes, he still should be able to average around 60+, assuming he gets enough opportunities to kick for goal.

Will Hopoate ($556,000 | FLB/CTW) – A move back to the centres may decrease his runs over 8m, but he will make more tackles so that will even out. Hopoate is a very consistent performer, having averaged 59 in two straight seasons thanks to a huge base.

The PODs

The Cheapies

Christian Crichton ($257,800 | CTW) – He was ok for the Panthers last year, without doing anything great. If he bags a couple of tries to start the season, he should see a healthy price rise.

Avoid

Raymond Faitala-Mariner ($543,400 | 2RF) – RFM is coming off a career best season, and most likely won’t play 80 minutes this season. Avoid.
