Ladies and gentlemen, IT'S GAWEWEEK 31 – the first major blank week. THERE ARE ONLY 8 GAMEWEEKS TO MOVE UP THE FPL LADDER! Differential moves really matter during this time of the season, when many assets return unexpectedly. So, GW31 should be a good week to take risks that might pay off heavily.
HOW WAS GW30?
GW30 wasn't just an average one. All popular captaincy options were brought home the goods, including Salah, Aguero, Mane and of course, Sterling. Although Salah only got one assist, he looked lively and dangerous once again a huge haul could be around the corner. My squad recorded 75 points with Raz Sterling as my captain.
GW31 being the major blank week is a little bit trickier, with only 10 teams in action. I hope you are all ready and have planned effectively. If you can field 9-10 players, you are in the safe. I have got 8 players with two FTs and will hold on until after the press conferences to see what I do.
The ideal situation for me is to go for a -4 and fielding 11 players, and using my FH for GW32. But, the problem is that many managers (including me) have exhausted their wildcards. To me the most important thing is fielding as close to 11 players as possible during these blank GWs. So, I'm looking to saving my FT in GW33 and then using two FT's effectively for GW34. I believe this is the best possible strategy for managers who have lost their wildcards.
THE MUST HAVES
Here are who I believe to be the must haves in blank GW31:
◆ Wilson (BOU) ◆ Vardy (LEI) ◆ Fraser (BOU) ◆ Salah + Mane (LIV) ◆ BOU+WHU+LIV defence ◆ Hazard or Higuain (CHE)
THE DIFFERENTIALS
Now, the main part of the article. The differentials:
◆ Brooks (BOU)
◆ Rondón and Perez (NEW)
◆ Mounie (HUD)
THE CAPTAINS
Now, the standout captaincy options this week include Salah, Mane, Vardy, and Wilson. But, for those who want to risk it in the hope of shooting up the rankings, this could be the GW to pick a differential captain. For these people, the top options are Brooks, Maddison, Willian and Rondón.
If I was go with a differential this week, it would be Brooks. I expect him to do some real damage against Newcastle. Here, you can see a FH team for GW31, by @FootballAdvice5, which according I believe is the best squad one can field this week. Do have a look and follow him for more of his content.
AN IMPORTANT LESSON
Also, keep in mind that this week might not go as you wish, as majority of the players won't be able to field a complete squad, so captaincy decisions become of great importance in such weeks. So, choose your captain wisely.
SCORE PREDICTIONS
BOU 1 | NEW 2
BUR 3 | LEI 1
WHU 3 | HUD 2
FUL 0 | LIV 5
EVE 2 | CHE 2
TRANSFER THOUGHTS
Time to discuss transfers. The two players leaving my team (using 2 FTs) will be Doherty and. I don't want Jiménez to go but the two blanks for Wolves have helped me make my mind. Two players on my radar to replace the Wolves duo are Wilson and Luiz, with Sterling, Pogba and Bednarek dropping to my bench for this week. I would like to get PVA at some point, but I will make a call on that later as he doesn’t play this week.
Ill also be posting my TEAM REVEAL on my twitter account. So make sure you follow the lads @WFC_17, @WFC_Seb and of course me @FPLAgam, for more such picks, previews and predictions. I would appreciate any feedback from the readers. Give me your valuable suggestions in the comments or DM me @FPLAgam.
All the best to all the FPL bosses. May your arrows be green!
